I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in clinical practice, supervision, teaching, and community-based work across diverse and marginalized populations. My path into this work has been shaped by years of supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, family violence, displacement, identity, faith, and systemic barriers to care. I have worked in the clinical social work field providing therapy for 10+ years and have been engaged in community support work for nearly two decades.

My clinical approach is intentional, relational, and integrative. I believe therapy is most effective when it honors the full context of a person’s life—including culture, faith, nervous system patterns, relationships, and lived experience—rather than focusing narrowly on symptoms alone. I work collaboratively with clients, approaching each therapeutic relationship with care, accountability, and respect for the trust being placed in the process.

In addition to clinical work, I am actively engaged in teaching and supervision, currently serving as a professor in social work and providing supervision to associate clinicians across multiple settings. This dual role informs my practice, keeping my work grounded in both reflective clinical practice and evolving professional standards. I am additionally a doctoral student and am expected to complete my PhD in Social Work in 2027.

My Philosophy

My philosophy of care is grounded in intentionality, ethical responsibility, and trust. I approach therapy with the belief that healing is relational and that meaningful change occurs when clients feel seen, respected, and supported in their autonomy.
I am especially mindful of power dynamics within therapeutic and supervisory relationships. My work prioritizes consent, collaboration, and transparency, recognizing that therapy should never replicate systems of harm or control. Faith or spirituality may be integrated into care when desired by the client, always in a way that supports—not overrides—their individual values and goals.

Ultimately, my work is guided by stewardship: caring responsibly for the therapeutic relationship, honoring the trust clients place in me, and contributing to a mental health practice culture that is ethical, culturally responsive, and sustainable.
